Serving Arkansas

Arkansas has the worst mental health workforce shortage in the South. Telehealth is the answer.

Seventy-one of Arkansas's seventy-five counties are designated Mental Health Professional Shortage Areas by HRSA. That's 95% of the state. For most rural Arkansans, the nearest in-person therapist is a county or two away — and the few who are local often have month-plus waitlists or do not take insurance.

We're a fully telehealth practice licensed throughout Arkansas. That means a client in Mountain Home, Texarkana, or El Dorado has the same access to a licensed clinician as someone in Little Rock or Bentonville. No driving, no waiting rooms, no scheduling around someone else's small-town office hours.

Roughly 23% of Arkansas adults experience any mental illness in a given year — comparable to the national average. The difference between Arkansas and other states isn't prevalence; it's access. Telehealth removes the geographic barrier without removing the clinical quality.

Frequently Asked

Quick answers.

My nearest in-person therapist is over an hour away. Can telehealth really work?
Yes — and for most rural Arkansans, telehealth is the only realistic option. Sessions happen on a secure video platform from wherever you have privacy and a stable connection. Clinically the work is identical to in-person; the difference is you get an hour back from the drive each time.
Do you accept Arkansas Medicaid?
Yes. We accept Arkansas Medicaid, BCBS of Arkansas, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Medicare, and TRICARE. Plans vary by clinician — we confirm coverage before your first session.
Do I need to be in Arkansas during my session?
Yes. Telehealth is governed by the law of the state where the client is physically located at session time. As long as you are in Arkansas when we meet, we can see you. If you travel to one of the other states we are licensed in (FL, MS, TN), continuity is uninterrupted.
Can my whole family use the practice?
Yes. Different family members can see different therapists in the practice with confidential, non-overlapping records. We coordinate care without sharing session content. Couples and family sessions are also available when those are clinically appropriate.
