Does TRICARE actually cover online therapy?

Yes. TRICARE covers telemental health services for Prime, Select, Reserve Select, Retired Reserve, and Young Adult enrollees. We are in-network, which means most active duty and dependent enrollees pay no out-of-pocket cost. We verify your specific plan before your first session.

Will my command find out I am in therapy?

No. We are a private practice, not a base provider, and we operate under HIPAA. We never share your records with your unit or chain of command. Many service members specifically choose us because of this — base mental health is sometimes perceived as career-affecting, and we sit completely outside that system.

I just got PCS orders. Do I have to start over with a new therapist?

Not if you are moving to FL, AR, MS, or TN. We are licensed in all four, which covers a large portion of military moves. If your new station falls outside our license area, we will work with you to transition to a quality replacement provider so the work does not reset.

Do you treat PTSD specifically?

Yes. Our team uses trauma-informed and evidence-based approaches including CBT, exposure-based work, and skills-focused stabilization. We treat both deployment-related PTSD and other service-related trauma. For complex PTSD requiring medication management we coordinate with your prescriber or a psychiatric provider.
