I’m not the therapist who nods for 50 minutes and asks, “How does that make you feel?” If that’s what you’re looking for, I’m probably not your person.

I’m the therapist who tells you the truth with compassion. I’ll help you identify the excuses, patterns, and beliefs that keep you stuck — and then I’ll challenge you to do something about them. Therapy isn’t about feeling comfortable. It’s about becoming healthier, stronger, and more honest with yourself.

For more than 20 years, I’ve helped people navigate trauma, anxiety, relationships, addiction, leadership, burnout, and life’s hardest seasons. My approach is direct, collaborative, and relentlessly focused on real change. I’ll support you, encourage you, and believe in you — but I won’t enable you to stay where you are.

Around here, we don’t sugarcoat. We take responsibility. We tell the truth. We do the work.

And yes… I love Jesus, but I cuss a little. I believe faith and authenticity can exist in the same room. You don’t have to pretend you’re okay, clean yourself up before you come in, or have all the answers. Just show up willing to be honest. I’ll meet you there.

Kind enough to care. Honest enough to challenge. That’s the Legacy difference.

She is confident enough in herself and her work to also hold me accountable. She helps me approach things with honesty and growth rather than avoidance — to own it, address it, move forward, and let it go.

Life doesn’t get easier by pretending everything is fine.

Whether you’re carrying anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, overwhelming stress, or the weight of a major life transition, you deserve more than simply getting by.

With more than 15 years of experience in mental and behavioral health, I work with children, adolescents, and adults to help them move beyond survival and into lasting change. I believe the best therapy begins with understanding your story — not making your story fit someone else’s approach. Every person deserves to be seen, heard, and challenged in a way that respects who they are and where they’ve been.

My style is honest, compassionate, and solution-focused. I’ll help you recognize the patterns that are keeping you stuck, build practical skills that create real progress, and remind you of the strengths you may have forgotten you possess. There is no single path to healing — what matters is finding the one that works for you, and having someone willing to walk beside you while expecting your best.

You don’t have to become someone else to change your life. You simply have to become more intentional about the person you’re choosing to be.

Growth begins the moment excuses end. Let’s do the work.

Licensed Professional Counselor · Executive Advisor

I’ve been doing this for nearly 30 years, and I’ve learned that most people already know something isn’t working. They just need someone who’s willing to help them face it — and knows how to help them change it.

I’m not interested in keeping you in therapy forever. I’m interested in helping you build a life you don’t need to escape from.

I work with adolescents and adults facing anxiety, depression, grief, relationship and family conflict, low self-esteem, addiction, eating disorders, and life’s toughest transitions. My style is straightforward, relational, and solution-focused. I’ll listen without judgment, tell you the truth with kindness, and help you turn insight into action.

I’m Southern to my core. You’ll find compassion, grace, and probably a little laughter in our sessions — but you’ll also find accountability. I believe healing happens when people feel safe enough to be honest and brave enough to do something different.

Life is too short to keep settling for survival. So let’s roll up our sleeves, get honest about what’s holding you back, and get to work. I’m in your corner every step of the way — but I’m also going to expect you to show up for yourself.

Around here, we don’t just talk about change — we build it.

I've been with Kristi for over a year now. She is very empathetic and a good listener. She has been a great help getting me through my divorce.

You can only carry the weight for so long.

Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, trauma, burnout, relationship challenges, or navigating a major life transition, you don’t have to stay stuck. Real change begins when you’re willing to honestly face what’s no longer working.

I believe therapy should be tailored to the individual — not the other way around. My approach is direct, compassionate, and focused on helping you identify the patterns holding you back while building practical tools to create lasting change. I’ll meet you where you are, but I won’t let you stay there.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than 25 years working alongside judges, attorneys, law enforcement, and other professionals in high-pressure environments. That experience gave me a deep understanding of resilience, leadership, and the invisible burdens people often carry behind successful careers.

Whether we’re working through therapy or executive advising, my goal is simple: to help you stop surviving, start living intentionally, and become the person you know you’re capable of being.

You’ve carried everyone else long enough. It’s time to invest in yourself.

I hesitated about starting therapy — not sure I wanted to open all those boxes. I am so glad I did, and even more so that I was placed with Apryl. Knowing I have support, even if it's just to vent, is a game changer.
